Chemical Peels: Reveal Fresh, Radiant Skin
A chemical peel is a skin treatment that uses a blend of exfoliating acids to remove dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin underneath. It’s like a deep refresh for your skin, helping to improve texture, tone, and clarity.
We will never peel you on the first treatment as we need to ensure your skin is fully prepared for this treatment, in the right heath and that you’re aware of how to take care of it after a peel. We often find that after a consultation and some changes to the way you look after your skin results in our clients not always needing a chemical peel.
How Do Chemical Peels Work?
Chemical peels use specially formulated acids that gently dissolve the top layers of the skin. This process stimulates cell renewal and encourages the production of collagen and elastin, which keep your skin firm and youthful.
What Can a Chemical Peel Help With?
Chemical peels are great for targeting:
✅ Dull, tired skin – Brightens and refreshes your complexion
✅ Fine lines & wrinkles – Boosts collagen for smoother skin
✅ Acne & breakouts – Clears congestion and reduces inflammation
✅ Hyperpigmentation & dark spots – Fades discoloration for an even tone
✅ Large pores – Helps refine and minimize their appearance
Types of Chemical Peels
Superficial Peel (Mild) – A light refresh, great for a glow boost and regular maintenance
Medium Peel – Targets deeper concerns like pigmentation and fine lines
Deep Peel – More intensive, ideal for advanced aging signs and scars (requires downtime)
The Treatment Experience
1️⃣ Prep: Your skin is cleansed and prepped for treatment.
2️⃣ Application: The peel solution is applied and left on for a few minutes.
3️⃣ Tingling Sensation: A mild tingling or warming sensation may occur—this is normal!
4️⃣ Neutralization & Aftercare: The peel is neutralized (if needed), and soothing skincare is applied.
What to Expect After a Peel?
The better your skin is prepped and the better condition your skin is in, then the less downtime there will be.
Mild peels: Expect little to no downtime, with a subtle glow immediately after.
Medium peels: Some redness and mild peeling for a few days.
Deep peels: More peeling and downtime but with dramatic results.
Post-Peel Care Tips
🧴 Hydrate: Use a gentle moisturizer to support skin healing.
☀️ SPF is a must: Skin is more sensitive to the sun—wear SPF daily!
⏳ Avoid harsh products: Skip exfoliants and strong actives for a few days.
